George Huang (Director of Wisdom) recently was invited by German publisher C.H. Beck as the author for Taiwan chapter in “Infringement of Second Medical Use Claims” to share regulations and court decisions regarding second medical use claims.

In the Taiwan chapter, we explored the legal framework governing second medical use patents in Taiwan, analyzed recent IP Court decisions and highlighting the challenges associated with the carve-out of patented indications, as well as the critical role of clinical data in determining patent infringement.
